A proper caff under the arches on Three Colts Lane, Bethnal Green. Full English breakfasts, bacon rolls, toasted sandwiches and coffee, with the trains rumbling overhead.

Arches

Open from 6.30am Monday to Friday, and from 8.30am on Saturday

Under the railway arches

A corner of the dining room with a pendant lamp above a wooden bench and a table set with condiments.

Brickwork walls, small tables and a steady stream of regulars. It is the sort of room where the owners know the faces and the food comes quickly. Locals working nearby have made it part of the morning, and visitors tend to come back.

Breakfast early, lunch by half two

The doors open at 6.30am from Monday to Friday, so you can eat before work. Saturdays start at 8.30am and run to 2pm, with weekdays finishing at 2.30pm. We are closed on Sundays.

“A proper British caff! Tucked away, as the name would suggest, in the Arches of the overground bridge just a short walk from Bethnal Green station. The food was excellent and easy to order as you’d hope.”
